The PAN Foundation and the Skin Cancer Foundation announce new partnership to provide support for people living with basal cell carcinoma

The PAN Foundation and the Skin Cancer Foundation today announced they are launching a new partnership to offer a broad range of support for people living with basal cell carcinoma.

Working together, the PAN Foundation and the Skin Cancer Foundation will ensure that people living with basal cell carcinoma have access to both financial and patient support services, providing them with comprehensive resources needed to best manage their condition.

“Basal cell carcinoma is curable when treatment is started promptly. Our mission is to ensure that patients can initiate their treatment without delay regardless of their ability to pay,” said PAN President and CEO Dan Klein. “Thanks to our partnership with the Skin Cancer Foundation, our patients will also have access to essential resources to learn more about their condition and what to expect during treatment.”

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer, with over four million diagnosed each year in the U.S.

“Our goal is to decrease the rates of skin cancer through prevention, early detection and prompt treatment,” said Skin Cancer Foundation Executive Director Dan Latore. “Our alliance with the PAN Foundation will complement the educational resources we provide to the millions of people diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma each year and ensure that people have access to our information when they need it most.”

Patients who qualify for the PAN Foundation’s Basal Cell Carcinoma Assistance Program are eligible to receive $6,100 per year in financial assistance.
