The PAN Foundation and the Cushing’s Support and Research Foundation announce partnership to support people with Cushing’s disease and syndrome
Washington, D.C., July 10, 2020—The PAN Foundation and the Cushing’s Support and Research Foundation today announced they are launching a new partnership to offer a broad range of support for people living with Cushing’s disease and Cushing’s syndrome.
Working together, the PAN Foundation and the Cushing’s Support and Research Foundation will ensure people living with Cushing’s have access to both financial and patient support services, providing them the comprehensive resources needed to best manage their condition.
“Individals living with Cushing’s must often undergo extensive testing before a diagnosis is made, which can be frustrating for those experiencing challenging symptoms,” said PAN President and CEO Dan Klein. “Our alliance with the Cushing’s Support and Research Foundation will help reduce the burden of high out-of-pocket treatment costs while also connecting patients with the emotional support services needed to not only cope, but thrive.”
According to the Cushing’s Support and Research Foundation, Cushing’s is relatively rare and affects an estimated 10 to 15 people per million each year in the U.S.
“A diagnosis like Cushing’s can be life-changing and have a serious impact on an individual’s physical and mental health,” said Cushing’s Support and Research Foundation President Leslie Edwin. “We’re excited to utilize our partnership with the PAN Foundation to provide peace of mind to individuals who need financial assistance so that they have one less thing to worry about as they focus on improving their quality of life.”
Patients who qualify for the PAN Foundation’s Cushing’s Disease or Syndrome Assistance Program are eligible to receive $9,700 per year in financial assistance.
