Jeffrey King, JD, MBA, was General Counsel of Sentara Healthcare, until mid-2019 when he retired. Sentara is an integrated healthcare system comprised of 12 hospitals, a health plan, medical groups, outpatient centers, nursing homes and assisted-living centers, home health, hospice, medical transport and a college of health sciences. Sentara has almost 30,000 employees and approximately $7 billion in assets and $5.3 billion in annual revenues. Prior to joining Sentara, Jeffrey practiced with the law firm of Haynes and Boone, in its Dallas and Austin offices. He has graduate degrees from the Duke University School of Law and the Fuqua Graduate School of Business at Duke, and a B.A. in Economics from the College of William and Mary.
