The PAN Foundation’s Transportation Assistance Program provides financial support to patients for travel to and from their medical treatments and pharmacies. Most patients receive their $500 prepaid debit card by mail approximately 10-15 business days after grant approval.
What expenses are covered?

The program covers non-emergency medical transportation to and from your medical appointments or pharmacy visits.
The card can be used for:
- Airfare
- Car rentals, parking expenses, and tolls
- Lodging, such as hotels, Airbnb, or temporary housing
- Non-emergency medical transportation
- Public transportation fares (bus, metro, train)
Services not covered
The program does not cover gas, mileage reimbursement, meals, or concierge services.
What are the spending guidelines?
The card is set up with daily limits for spending by category (see chart below) and with a total daily spend limit of $350. The card will be declined if a purchase exceeds any of these daily limits without prior approval from PAN.

How to use the card
Cards should be swiped using the credit card option. No transaction fees or pin numbers are required. The funds are withdrawn from your account immediately after the card is swiped.

Please be advised that all card activity is actively monitored, and the PAN Foundation reserves the right to cancel your assistance if the card is used for any unintended or inappropriate purposes.
