1. What is your role at PAN, and how long have you worked here?

I am Vice President of External Affairs at PAN, and have worked here since January 2014. In this capacity, my role is to serve as liaison between PAN and external patient advocacy and professional organizations and to coordinate PAN’s initiatives related to public advocacy and policy.

2. As VP of External Affairs, what do you hope to accomplish?

First and foremost, my major interest is to ensure that as many patients who are underinsured know about the availability of financial assistance through the PAN Foundation and can benefit from the education and support services provided by patient advocacy groups. Additionally, I hope to help PAN facilitate a dialogue about cost-sharing with different stakeholder groups, ensuring sustainable strategies for the future to help patients access necessary treatment.

3. What do you find most rewarding about your job?

Most rewarding is knowing that by working as a team, internally and externally, we have done our share to help more people access the medications they need.

4. Share something that others may not know about you.

I swim a mile every day, I am a basketball mom, my two favorite musicians growing up were Eric Clapton and Elton John, and in the early 1990s, I led efforts and was successful in getting a law passed and signed by President Clinton.
